The Pakistani ambassador in Cairo Mr. Sajid Bilal inaugurated the Pakistan pavilion at Food Africa which was held in Cairo Egypt on 12 – 14 December 2021. Food Africa is the largest international trade fair on the continent specializing in the food and agricultural industries. Pakistani food exporters participated in Pakistan pavilion at Food Africa and represented an array of Pakistani flavors and tastes, including local products such as basmati rice, pink salt, spices, honey, pulses, juices, pickles, chutneys, herbs, sweets and processed food.
Notably, Pakistan is among the world’s largest rice exporters, and is home to the 800-million-year-old rock salt group that produces the famous pink salt. The food and beverage sector in Pakistan is the second largest industry after textiles and is a major source of export.

About the Food Africa Exhibition
Food Africa is the African continents largest food exhibition. Moreover, its forte is exhibiting specialized food from across the world under one roof.
